Keen embroiderers living at McCarthy & Stone's Cherrett Court development in Ferndown are hosting a special exhibition of their work this month to help raise funds for the Ferndown Stroke Club.
The exhibition is taking place at the Assisted Living development, located on Ringwood Road, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Tuesday 22nd February. In addition to viewing the vast collection of detailed embroidery work, visitors can enjoy a cheese and wine reception and a VIP tour of the development's beautiful show complex and communal facilities.
A £2 entry fee will be charged and all money collected on the day will be donated to the Ferndown Stroke Club, which provides vital support for stroke sufferers and their families.
Aileen King, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone, comments: "We have a number of very skilled and keen embroiderers living at Cherrett Court and this common interest has really helped bond the community at the development.
"The residents involved were keen to put their hard work to good use and came up with the idea to host a fundraising event. The Ferndown Stroke Club is a really worthy cause and we hope people will come along and show their support on the day."
Cherrett Court comprises 46 one and two bedroom Assisted Living apartments designed exclusively for anyone over the age of 70 requiring assistance with daily life. In addition to retaining home ownership, residents can benefit from an on-site restaurant, a communal lounge, hotel-style guest suite and landscaped gardens.
There is also a 24 hour emergency call system provided via a personal pendant, an estate manager, who oversees the running of the development, and staff are on site 24 hours a day for added peace of mind.
Prices currently start from £242,950. For further information about the properties and lifestyle available at Cherrett Court, please visit the show complex, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 5.00pm
