House hunters looking for a new home in Plymouth can be confident they're buying from the best after Mike Crawford, site manager at Taylor Wimpey Exeter's Warleigh Village development, was chosen as the best Site Manager in England in the NHBC Supreme Awards large development category.
Coming second only to a site manager in Wales, Mike is now getting used to being known as the best site manager in 'England'.
The national NHBC Supreme Awards is the culmination of a series of regional heats, which include Pride in the Job and Seal of Excellence, and recognise only the very best site managers from the housing industry - being awarded one is no easy feat!
Commenting on his award, Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter said: "The whole team is absolutely delighted that Mike's talent as a site manager has been recognised at the highest level. The award is testament to the hard work and dedication he puts into managing his team and building exceptional homes, and he should be extremely proud to receive such a prestigious accolade."
Mike started working as a labourer when he was 21 and joined the company as a site manager in 2003. He has taken home numerous NHBC titles including five Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
Mike said: "Winning a Pride in the Job Quality award was fantastic but this is something else. The construction of a development of high quality, well built homes takes a real team effort so this award is a reflection of the whole team's commitment to building the best homes possible. It's a real honour to be recognised in this way and I'm looking forward to the challenge of becoming the best site manager in the whole of the UK this year!"
This award also demonstrates Taylor Wimpey Exeter's commitment to investing in its staff, building top quality homes and its continued dedication to retaining and exceeding homebuyers' expectations.
The house builder is currently building a number of new homes developments across Plymouth and the wider region, many overseen by NHBC award winning site managers.
