A surge of interest from buyers means that only a handful of four bedroom homes are now available to buy at Linden Homes' popular Watercolour development in Redhill.
The semi-detached and terraced homes are built over three floors and comprise of generous open plan living and conservatory-style elevations to the rear to maximise light and space.
Caroline and Stuart Hollins moved from a two bedroom flat in Balham, South London, to their new home at Watercolour in December.
"We have friends who bought at another Linden Homes development and after seeing the quality of the finish and hearing about their great experience we decided to visit Watercolour. We were immediately won over by our new home's excellent storage solutions, garage and landscaped garden which, for us, was key as we didn't have any outdoor space in our old flat.
"Before putting in an offer we looked at some resale properties in the area but quickly realised that we would have to invest a lot of time and money in achieving the finish available at Watercolour. The kitchen in our new home is an extravagance we would never have been able to justify, but it came as standard."
As well as having their legal and Stamp Duty costs paid by Linden Homes, the couple were also given Enhance vouchers to spend at the developer's interior design studio.
"It was amazing to be able to walk round the studio and choose fixtures and fittings for our new home. The vouchers meant that we saved several thousand pounds on personalising it and had more money left over at the end. We feel very spoilt."
Caroline and Stuart expect to make good use of the development's on-site amenities, which include a Tesco Express, doctor's surgery and veterinary clinic, as well as the Watercolour lagoon and 25 acre nature reserve.
"We have both always lived and worked in London but we were keen to move to the area around Redhill and Reigate because of their excellent town centres that both offer something different. Watercolour is also close to Redhill train station which has a short commute to work, there's a nearby golf course for Ian and we can go for walks in the Surrey countryside at the weekend."
Buyers looking to upgrade to a larger home at Watercolour can take advantage of Linden Homes' Part Exchange scheme, in which the developer becomes the guaranteed buyer of an existing home, saving time and money.
Redhill train station has direct links to London in 30 minutes. A local bus route also serves the homes and the M25 and M3 are within easy access.
