The UK's leading retirement specialist, McCarthy & Stone, has announced price reductions of £10,000 on the last ten apartments available for sale at its Bernard Court development in Holmes Chapel.

Now, and for a limited time only, prices for the low-maintenance purpose-built retirement apartments at the Chester Road development will start from just £139,950.

Interest is expected to be high for the remaining properties, especially as the luxurious and fully-furnished two bedroom show apartment is also available as part of the special offer. As such, potential buyers are being urged to visit the site and register their interest early to avoid disappointment.

Fiona Brooks, Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone North, commented: "This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the wonderful community at Bernard Court. The price reductions mean that these properties offer exceptional value for money, and we sincerely hope that by doing this we will be able to open the door to many people who previously thought that moving into a secure new home in later life was not possible.

We aim to make the whole process of moving so much easier for our residents, offering advice where needed and often financial assistance with the costly fees that can be incurred when buying or selling a new home. As a result, we hope our residents will be able to enjoy a lifestyle that combines an active and independent retirement with the opportunity to mingle with like-minded people in a secure and low-maintenance environment."

A development available exclusively for the over 60s, Bernard Court comprises of 48 contemporary one and two bedroom apartments nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Taking its name from Sir Bernard Lovell, the creator of the nearby Lovell telescope at Jodrell Bank, the development is only a short distance from all local amenities and offers excellent transport links to the nearby market town of Sandbach and the larger towns of Congleton, Nantwich and Crewe.

Each private apartment delivers a number of thoughtful features designed to make the home more comfortable and manageable, while the landscaped gardens and communal lounge provide the opportunity to relax and socialise with fellow residents, friends or family.

Bernard Court is equipped with a 24-hour personal emergency call service and a closed-circuit TV system so residents can check who is calling at the main entrance. A dedicated House Manager is also on hand to provide residents with an added peace of mind.

Price reductions at Bernard Court will be available on properties reserved before 31st May 2011. For more information about the special offers, along with apartments still available for sale, please visit the show complex Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 5.00pm
