Moving in later life can be a daunting experience, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding a special Moving Solutions event exclusively for the over 60's at its Retirement Living development Lewis Court in Redhill this month.

The event, which is taking place on Thursday 5th May from 11.00am to 4.00pm, will be an opportunity for people interested in moving to get impartial advice from a range of professional advisors and speak to McCarthy & Stone's benefits advisor, Colin Cuthbert.

Colin, who has over 15 years' experience of giving benefits advice will be available at the event to offer advice about accessing benefits and other entitlements available for the over 60s. Visitors will also be able to get mortgage advice from Kathy Tedstone and chat to a range of local solicitors and estate agents. House to Home will also be on hand to talk about its decluttering, packing and removal service.

In addition, visitors will be able to speak to McCarthy & Stone's experienced sales consultants about the advantages of Retirement Living and enjoy a tour of the development and its show complex.

Sharon Callcut, marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone South East comments, "Moving house is stressful at any time of life but even more so as you get older. It is important to have as much information as possible at your fingertips to ensure you make the right decision for you. Our Moving Solutions event will not only give visitors the opportunity to get impartial advice on all aspects of moving, they will be able to find out about Retirement Living at Lewis Court."

Lewis Court compromises of 33 one and two bedroom apartments designed exclusively for people over the age of 60 who want a manageable and secure home that enables them to maintain their independence.

Each property comprises an open plan lounge and dining room, adjoining kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a bathroom.

Special features include 24 hour emergency call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a security entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.

Prices start from £169,950. To find out more, please visit the show complex on Linkfield Road, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30 to 5.00pm.
