Retirees at Olde Market Court in Wadebridge are holding a Pampered Chef event on Wednesday 11th May at 2-4 pm to raise money for The Royal British Legion.
Residents at the McCarthy & Stone Retirement Living development are inviting the public to come along and sample tasty morning treats, receive expert tuition and try out the latest culinary gadgetry. The £2 entrance fee and 15 per cent of sales from the event will go to McCarthy & Stone's charity partner, The Royal British Legion.
Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone South West, comments: "The event is a fun morning out and it's a great opportunity to come and sample some top quality food, learn some useful cooking tips and experience our sense of community first-hand, plus it's all for a good cause."
Olde Market Court is a development of 50 one and two bedroom retirement apartments located in Wadebridge, Cornwall. Additional features, aimed at offering peace of mind and added security, have been incorporated in each apartment, such as 24 hour emergency call points and a camera entry system.
Electrical sockets are positioned at a raised height to reduce bending and light switches are illuminated to make them easier to locate. The apartments benefit from easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen, along with energy efficient heating.
There is also a communal residents' lounge, landscaped gardens and a hotel-style guest suite for visiting friends and family.
