The over 60's in Essex are being urged to visit the Essex Garden Show at the Brentwood Centre this month to make the most of the exclusive homebuying incentives on offer from retirement specialist McCarthy & Stone.

Between 13th to 15th May 2011, potential purchasers visiting McCarthy & Stone's stand at the event in Brentwood, will be given the option to choose from a £10k reduction on a new apartment at a select number of regional developments, or take up a 100% part exchange*.

Sharon Callcut, marketing manager for McCarthy and Stone, commented: "The Essex Garden Show presents a great opportunity for retirees and their families to come and talk to one of our sales consultants in a relaxed environment and find out more about the many benefits of retirement living.

"We understand that making the decision to move in later life can be daunting, but we will be on hand to reassure any interested parties that there are options available to make that move both hassle-free and affordable."

Those who collect a brochure from the event will be eligible to use the special offers on all new one and two bedroom apartments at a range of developments including Argent Court in Barnet; Liberty Court in Chesham; Stewart Court in Epping; Sanders Court in Brentwood; Tythe Court in Romford; Coachford Court in Rochford; Hughenden Court in Hazlemere, plus Nanterre Court and Pheasant Court, both in Watford.

McCarthy & Stone developments are specially designed to enable people over 60 to enjoy a lifestyle that combines an active and independent retirement with the opportunity to mingle with like-minded people in a secure and low-maintenance environment.

Each purpose-built property comprises of an open plan lounge and dining room, adjoining kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Electrical sockets will be positioned at a raised height to reduce bending and light switches will be illuminated to make them easier to locate. The apartments will benefit from easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen, along with energy efficient heating.

A number of other thoughtful design features will also be incorporated in order to offer residents an added sense of security. These include 24 hour emergency call points and a CCTV entry system, plus the presence of a dedicated House Manager, who will be on hand to provide assistance as and when required.
