Home-Start Chorley & South Ribble was pleasantly surprised recently when Julie Harper, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, stopped by to drop off a cheque worth £300!

The leading house builder donated the money to Home-Start Chorley & South Ribble as part of its 'Deserving Causes' campaign which aims to support the local communities in which it builds.

Carole Lee, scheme manager for Home-Start Chorley who nominated the charity, said: "We are very happy to have been chosen by Taylor Wimpey for its 'Deserving Causes' campaign. The aim of our charity is to help local families in the community and one of the many things we do is cookery workshops so we decided to spend the money on a new cooker! We have also just moved into our new premises which means the cooker will look great in our brand new kitchen.

"On behalf of everyone at Home-Start Chorley & South Ribble, I'd like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for its generous donation!"

Taylor Wimpey North West, which is currently building a number of developments in the North West, is commited to supporting the local communities in which its builds wherever possible.

Julie Harper, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, added: "It's fantastic that the donation has been put to such good use and has made a difference straight away. Home-Start Chorley & South Ribble provides an excellent service to the local community and we're delighted that we've been able to help them improve the facilities of their new premises."

Taylor Wimpey has a number of developments in and around the North West.
