Prospective buyers are being urged to snap up one of a select range of new retirement apartments which are being made available in a sought after area of Luton close to ancient woodland.
McCarthy & Stone's Bramingham retirement development, situated in Lucas Gardens, Luton, is currently under construction, offering eight apartments. The development, comprising an equal number of one and two bedroom apartments, is being built alongside McCarthy & Stone's popular Hughes Court retirement development.
All 32 apartments at Hughes Court sold out within 18 months of the development being completed two years ago. The second phase of this development now sees eight new apartments being constructed on the remaining piece of the original plot of undeveloped land bought by McCarthy & Stone.
The new apartments have just gone on saleand, as an added incentive to would-be purchasers, McCarthy & Stone is providing en-suite facilities in some of the two bedroom apartments.
Sales consultant Jenny Brahams said: "I think it will be a very popular development purely because phase one was so popular.
"This is a very nice part of Luton, a few miles from the town centre, with people who have moved here known as 'old Lutonians'. It's in a popular area referred to as Bramingham Park, with a very large Sainsbury's supermarket opposite and a medical centre literally behind us."
The new development, which is due for for completion in July, is situated close to Bramingham Wood - 45 acres of ancient woodland now owned and managed by The Woodland Trust. The first residents are due to move in August.
Added Jenny: "This is a totally separate building which will be completely self sufficient with its own residents' lounge and laundry. But it will share the house manager with Hughes Court next door.
"The first phase, which was Hughes Court, was completed a couple of years ago and sold out a year later, so we are confident that this development will prove just as popular.
"We feel the two bedroom apartments will be particularly attractive as some come with en-suite bathrooms."
Viewing of the second phase apartment plans is by appointment only, between Thursday and Saturday.
