Workers at Barratt in Exeter have been busying themselves dressing up, dressing down, baking cakes and wearing pyjamas to the office - all in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The Teignmouth branch of the RNLI is the latest beneficiary of the team's charitable endeavors. And more hard work is planned by Sophia Wardle, Lynn Walmsley and Nicki Bidgood over the coming weeks to add to the latest funds handed over by Barratt managing director, Tim Larner.
"We have a group of very dedicated fundraisers here at Barratt in Exeter - and I am delighted by their latest efforts in aid of the RNLI," said Tim. "This is just the latest in a long line of activities organised on behalf of local charities.
"This devoted group of individuals will already be planning future campaigns designed to support very worthy causes - and I wish them every success in whatever creative, worthwhile, events lie ahead."
The Teignmouth RNLI is located in the town's working harbour. Its inshore B class lifeboat is kept in the original 1862 boathouse - and the crew carries out more than 40 rescues every year.
"We are very grateful to the team at Barratt for all their hard work. It really is appreciated and will make a very big difference locally," said Frank Mortimore, from RNLI in Teignmouth.
"The money raised will go straight to this RNLI branch and will be put to very good use, training a crew member to help save many more lives in the future."
With a number of exciting new developments in the region, Barratt is dedicated to supporting the local communities it helps to create. "It is important to us to feel that we are building neighbourhoods as well as homes," said Tim.
"That way of thinking flows throughout the whole business and I am immensely proud to work with this hard-working and thoroughly supportive group of people."
