Eileen and Richard Hewer found their perfect home in a superb location when they moved to Taylor Wimpey's Ironstone development of property for sale in Telford, Shropshire.
When Eileen and Richard Hewer began the search for their ideal retirement property, finding a well-connected community within peaceful and attractive surroundings was top of their relocation agenda.
Having returned to the UK after three years working in New Zealand, the couple were keen to begin a new life with a new property in Shropshire, where they could be closer to their family and enjoy beautiful countryside on the doorstep.

"The location of Ironstone is perfect for us," says the 61-year-old former biomedical scientist, who is happily settling into her new property in Telford. "It's so close to the Shropshire countryside, which is really appealing, and it's also really accessible, with great road links making it easy to travel north, south, east and west.
"We love the fact that every home has its own individual identity here - it's nothing like these identikit housing developments that you find elsewhere. We also appreciate the whole ethos of Ironstone because even though it is relatively new, it already feels like a real community."

Eileen says: "It was fantastic because it took all the pressure away from trying to sell our previous property, and made the moving process a lot more relaxing.
"Taylor Wimpey were absolutely brilliant the whole way through - they answered all of our questions and they dealt with everything quickly and efficiently. The whole process was so smooth and stress-free and now we're loving life in our new home."
