Moving in later life can be a daunting experience, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding a special champagne reception and Moving Solutions event exclusively for the over 70s at its Assisted Living development Cherrett Court in Ferndown later this month.

The event, which is taking place on Friday 5th August from 11am to 3pm, will be an opportunity for people interested in moving to get impartial advice from a range of professional advisors while enjoying a glass of bubbly.

Visitors will be able to get advice from ARC Part Exchange company and speak to Colin Cuthbert, McCarthy & Stone's benefits advisor and chat to House to Home about its decluttering, packing and removals service.

In addition, visitors will be able to speak to McCarthy & Stone's experienced sales consultants about the benefits of Assisted Living, enjoy a tour of the development and find out more about the company's exclusive Move Assured scheme.

Aileen King, sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone, comments: "Moving house is stressful at any time of life but even more so as you get older. It is important to have as much information as possible at your fingertips to ensure you make the right decision for you. Our Moving Solutions event will not only give visitors the opportunity to get impartial advice on all aspects of moving, they will be able to find out about the benefits of Assisted Living at Cherrett Court."

Living at a McCarthy & Stone retirement development allows residents to maintain a completely independent lifestyle in a secure and safe environment.

Cherrett Court comprises 46 one and two bedroom Assisted Living apartments designed exclusively for anyone over the age of 70 requiring assistance with daily life. In addition to retaining home ownership, residents can benefit from an on-site restaurant, domestic assistance, personal care by arrangement, a communal lounge, hotel-style guest suite and landscaped gardens.

There is also a 24 hour emergency call system provided via a personal pendant, an estate's manager who oversees the running of the development and staff who are on site 24 hours a day for added peace of mind.

Prices currently start from £211,950. For further information about the properties and lifestyle available at Cherrett Court, please visit the show complex, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 5.00pm.
