Taylor Wimpey, the leading housebuilder behind a wide selection of new homes for sale in the East Midlands, has provided a cash boost to four regional charities following the success of two fundraising events.
Four good causes are sharing a £19,000 windfall thanks to leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey East Midlands.
The money was raised for the charities after a fun football tournament and a swish black tie ball were organised by the community-spirited developer, which is currently building a number of developments of new homes in Leicestershire, houses for sale in Northamptonshire, new build homes in Derbyshire, new homes for sale in Nottinghamshire, property for sale in Lincolnshire and houses to buy in Peterborough.
Four charities in the region were each presented with a slice of the proceeds, Macmillan Cancer Support receiving £10,000, and £9,000 being split equally between the Alzheimer's Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Coping With Cancer.
Janet Robinson, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: "We are delighted to have raised so much money for charities that do such important work here in the East Midlands.
"To raise £19,000 was a wonderful achievement, and we would like to thank everybody who took part in the football tournament and black tie ball for their generous support."
The football tournament saw teams of Taylor Wimpey sub-contractors battle it out in a day-long competition, while the black tie charity ball with a colourful Caribbean theme was attended by Taylor Wimpey East Midlands employees and its business partners.
