The UK's leading retirement builder, McCarthy & Stone, has been announced as one of the official sponsors of this year's Congleton Half Marathon.
Now in its 28th year, the event will see both amateur and professional runners from across the region take on a scenic course through rural Cheshire on October 9th in order to raise money for a host of local charitable causes.
McCarthy & Stone, which specialises in providing independent and low maintenance lifestyles for the over 60's, will be supplying gazeboes for the start and finish, but will also be fielding a team of runners to tackle the 13.5 mile course on behalf of its own chosen charity, Barnardo's.
Fiona Brooks, Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone, explained: "McCarthy & Stone keenly promotes the benefits gained from living an active and independent lifestyle in retirement, and so are proud to be sponsoring an event which encourages both the enjoyment of exercise and a sense of fun within the local community.
"We are soon to start construction on a Retirement Living development of 44 properties in Mill Green, Congleton, so felt it only right that we should give something back to the local area by getting involved in an event which will itself have a real impact on a number of very worthy local causes. That we are able to support the regional branch of Barnardo's while doing so, only adds to our delight at being one of this year's official sponsors."
McCarthy & Stone offers secure yet comfortable environments in which the over 60's can make the most of their retirement years, with the peace of mind that they still own their own property.
A selection of purpose built one and two bedroom retirement apartments are currently available for purchase at both Beatty Court, on Holland Walk in Nantwich and Bernard Court on Chester Road in Holmes Chapel. Each development has a stylish show complex, which are available to view every Tuesday to Saturday, between 10.30am and 5pm.
