FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.

The beautiful apartments feature a contemporary open-plan living/dining area, a modern fitted kitchen, two bedrooms and a main bathroom.

Much of the surrounding countryside is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beautiful north Kent coast is only a short drive away, with the artistic town of Whitstable - famed for its oysters - and the traditional seaside magic of Herne Bay both popular destinations for days out.

Three miles south in Bekesbourne is Howlett's Wild Animal Park, home to the late John Aspinall's collection of gorillas, chimpanzees, African elephants and tigers. Other parks in the area include Wildwood Trust, Druidstone Park and Wingham Wildlife Park, ideal for all the family.
