People in Long Eaton are being invited to join residents at McCarthy & Stone's Brooklands Court development for afternoon tea to raise vital funds for children's charity Barnardo's.
Residents and guests will be able to enjoy tea, coffee and a slice of cake at the event from 2pm to 4pm, on 27th October at Brooklands Court on Tamworth Road.
The organisers are raising money for Barnardo's, the UK's leading children's charity, by donating £10 for every visitor on the day. People will also be invited to make a £1 donation to win a Barnardo's bear by correctly guessing its name.
Sue Blackman, Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone, said: "We're delighted to be holding this afternoon tea in aid of Barnardo's. The charity achieves some remarkable things for children across the UK and they really need as much support as possible to continue this good work.
"I'd like to welcome members of the public to come and join in the fun for a very worthy cause."
Barnardo's runs over 40,000 projects across the UK that transform the lives of children and young people every day.
