When Jeanette Haskell needed to make a quick move into a new property in Basingstoke, she turned to Taylor Wimpey for help and found the perfect place at Everest Park.

Finding and moving into new homes in Basingstoke can be a long and tiring affair, so when Jeanette found and moved into a place near her daughter, she hoped everything would progress in a straightforward manner.

But Jeanette (72) didn't even get time to unpack her possessions, because after only one day in her new home, a major problem with the house meant she had to call the removal men back to move her out.

Luckily, Jeanette was able to turn to Taylor Wimpey for help, and in just two weeks she had found, secured and moved into one of the leading housebuilder's new homes in Basingstoke at nearby Everest Park - and this time she hopes it's for a lot longer than her previous relocation!

"I had been living in a two-bedroom maisonette in Middlesex for four years," says Jeanette. "But my daughter moved and she wanted me to follow her so I began looking at new build houses for sale in Basingstoke.

After finding a place which suited her needs and was a short distance from her daughter's house, Jeanette signed the contracts and moved in.

A day later, however an issue with the builder meant she was moving back out - but it wasn't long before her traumatic experience was brought to a happy conclusion after staying with her daughter, Karen, an Everest Park resident.

"I'd found a lovely place in Basingstoke which I purchased," says Jeanette. "But there was some trouble with the house which meant I moved in one day and out the next! I put all of my possessions in storage and headed to my daughter's new home at Taylor Wimpey's Everest Park."

"While I was staying there, I decided to look at a three-bedroom townhouse and I really liked the property's character," says Jeanette. "I made an offer and two weeks later I was settling in to my new home, which just goes to show that moving house doesn't have to take months."

With her daughter and her three teenage grandchildren living just around the corner, Jeanette couldn't be happier in her new place.

"I really like my home at Everest Park, it all feels so fresh and because it's a new build it means I really don't have to worry about anything going wrong," says Jeanette. "And it amazes me to think how quickly it all happened!"

There is currently a fantastic range of stylish homes available at Everest Park including the stunning three-bedroom 'Hindscarth' townhouse. Priced from just £239,995, it features a spacious living/dining room which opens into an attractive conservatory, plus a modern fitted kitchen and a guest cloakroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs, are two well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom, while on the top floor is the en-suite master bedroom. Outside the property benefits from a private rear garden and allocated parking.

Alternatively, the three-bedroom 'Steeple' terrace house is available for as little as £244,995 and the four-bedroom 'Ingleborough' semi-detached property is priced just £249,995.

Everest Park offers homes at the peak of property design, and enjoys a popular location on the northern fringes of Basingstoke, bordered by beautiful countryside to the north and just over two miles from the town centre.

Basingstoke is home to bustling modern shops, good schools and exciting leisure activities, while its Festival Place shopping centre is ranked in the UK's top 10 biggest and best, with 165 stores and 29 restaurants, bars and cafes.

The town is also home to music venues, a choice of multi-screen cinemas, tennis courts, a leisure park, sports clubs, an ice rink, a swimming pool and bowling alleys.

For commuters, Basingstoke railway station is only a mile from the new homes and offers regular services to London Waterloo in just 45 minutes, while the M3 motorway is only three miles away.

To find out more about the 'Hindscarth' and the other homes at Everest Park, customers can visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Popley Way, Basingstoke, and open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
