Taylor Wimpey's sought-after Cedar Walk development of houses for sale in Birstall, Leicestershire, has earned a top industry award.
The site manager of Taylor Wimpey's stunning Cedar Walk development of new homes for sale in Birstall, Leicestershire, has won a coveted prize in a prestigious UK building industry competition.
Tim Welton has been named as the winner of a 2011 Pride in the Job Quality Award by the National House-Building Council (NHBC) - the Oscars of the new homes industry.
Tim received invaluable support from his team at the Cedar Walk development of new build homes in Leicester, in particular from assistant site manager Mark Stewart.
His achievement has contributed to a hugely successful performance at the 2011 Pride in the Job Quality Awards for Taylor Wimpey, which has seen nine of its site managers honoured across the East Midlands and a total of 65 nationwide.
Dominic Harman, Managing Director of Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: "I'd like to thank Tim and his team at Cedar Walk for the hard work and dedication which have resulted in him winning a prestigious NHBC Quality Award.
"We're delighted that Taylor Wimpey East Midlands has won a total of nine Quality Awards this year, which is testament to the tremendous efforts of all of our people across the region, who take pride in building high-quality new homes and delivering first-class customer service."
The NHBC's Quality Award winners are selected from more than 13,000 entries from around the UK, and the honour provides homebuyers with the assurance that the winning developments deliver top-quality homes and excellent customer care.
Each site manager undergoes a stringent selection process with independent judges visiting developments at key stages of the construction process to assess them on all aspects of house building, including workmanship, leadership, technical expertise and health and safety.
The only awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of site managers in new home construction, Pride in the Job has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades.
Quality Award winners proceed to the regional heats of the competition, which take place in the autumn, with the Supreme Awards gala final being held in January 2012, the NHBC's 75th anniversary year.
Nestled on the edge of Birstall village, Cedar Walk is an exclusive development of just 56 new homes at Hallam Fields, just a stone's throw from beautiful open countryside and village amenities, yet within easy reach of the M1 motorway and only four miles from Leicester city centre via the A6.
A choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes is available to purchase at the development, priced from as little as £115,995.
