Ever wondered if years of hoarding your hidden treasures could mean there 'Cash in the Attic'? Well if you have, perhaps you should visit McCarthy & Stone's Forest Court retirement development in Chester because a variation of the 'Antiques Roadshow' is coming to town.
On 24th November, from 1.00pm until 4.00pm, an expert valuer from Nantwich Antiques Valuers, will be dropping in to Forest Court on Union Street, to cast his expert eye over any treasured possessions people wish to have valued
For the special Antiques Day event, members of the local community are invited to join residents at the retirement apartments in bringing along one or two personal items for expert assessment.
Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone, said: "A lot of residents get rid of things when they move here because they are downsizing, but quite a few have told us they have possessions that have been in their family for a number of years and we know that there are people out in the community that are harbouring similar treasures.
"Even if no-one doesn't particularly want to sell their items, it's always good to learn a little more about where these things might of come from, or what they might be worth, because you never know, there is always the chance of finding a valuable heirloom! "
Afternoon tea will be provided for all residents and visitors to enjoy while waiting to have their possessions valued.
