Scoring goals won't be the only thing that impresses fans of Cromwell Youth AFC Under 10s when the players step onto the pitch in new kit fit for the premiership, courtesy of housebuilder Taylor Wimpey.
After hearing that their old matchday kit was in danger of relegation, Taylor Wimpey, which is building new homes at its Lysaght Village development in Newport, stepped in to cover the cost of new strips for the squad.
Darren Little, Coach of the Cromwell Youth AFC Under 10s A Team, said: "We'd like to say a huge thanks to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation. New kit is very expensive and it would have taken us a while to save up for! Receiving the new kit has given the children a fantastic confidence boost and the players can't wait to show it off to their supporters."
Sara Taylor, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, adds: "We are always keen to support the local community wherever possible and when we heard about the children's need for a new kit we were only too happy to help. Cromwell Youth AFC plays a key role in keeping local children fit and active and we hope that the new strip helps the Under 10s team to top the league next year."
Lysaght Village is a collection of one, two, three and four bedroom homes within close proximity to the excellent range of shops, restaurants, attractions, entertainment and culture that can be found in Newport city centre.
