First-time buyers in the Netherton area of the West Midlands are being encouraged to consider taking up a fixed-rate mortgage offer from Barratt Homes.

Properties at the new Boundary Brook and Canal Walk estates can be purchased by means of a fixed-rate mortgage payment scheme, according to the home builder.

Under the plan, first-timers will be able to enjoy an equivalent home loan rate of three per cent for two years.

David Child, sales director, said: "We realise that getting onto the property ladder these days is becoming more and more difficult and expensive for young and first-time buyers.

"I'm sure that our offer to help reduce mortgage payments will prove to be the helping hand that many people need to move into their very own home."

Canal Walk features a range of homes, including two-bedroom apartments priced from £145,995, while at Boundary Brook a three-bedroom home can be bought for £175,995.

Commuters who work in Birmingham can reach the city in about 20 minutes if travelling by car.
