Young footballers at Hailsham United FC have been kitted out with new strips by Taylor Wimpey, the leading housebuilder behind the Welbury Meadows development of property for sale in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Taylor Wimpey, the leading housebuilder which is creating a collection of new homes for sale in Hailsham at Welbury Meadows, has come to the aid of young footballers in the town.

Hailsham Utd under-12 Colts are now wearing a brand new kit with pride, thanks to sponsorship from Taylor Wimpey South East's popular development of houses for sale in Hailsham.

Team coach and manager Nigel Ottley says: "We were desperate for a new kit because the boys had had the same passed down kit for about three years. They'd started to grow out of it and it was a mixture of sponsors and numbers so it was hard to get a full team kit together. It was looking really shoddy.

"It's fantastic that we've now got a brand new kit. It looks so striking. The kids absolutely love it and it's given them real confidence. I think it even made them play better - they felt more part of a team. Thanks ever so much to Taylor Wimpey."

Jason Stokes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: "We believe that every single home we build is part of a community, and we are committed to ensuring that this exciting development in Hailsham does much more than just provide high-quality properties for local people.

"Our sponsorship of Hailsham Utd under-12 Colts confirms our commitment to investing in the communities in which we build and we look forward to developing our relationship with local people in Hailsham."

Property-seekers can choose from a wonderful selection of new homes now available at Welbury Meadows, including stylish two-bedroom semi-detached houses priced from only £172,500, delightful three-bedroom homes from just £189,995 and spacious four-bedroom properties from only £243,995.

Conveniently located in North Hailsham, Welbury Meadows is within easy reach of a wide selection of independent and high street shops, supermarkets including Waitrose and Tesco, a host of pubs and restaurants, plus a choice of schools for children of all ages.

Commuters will appreciate that the A22 provides quick links to Eastbourne and the M25, while Polegate railway station is only three miles away, offering regular services to London Victoria, Ashford International, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Amenities in Hailsham include a leisure centre, which boasts a swimming pool, gym and fitness studio, children's soft play facilities and a bowling alley. Hailsham Pavilion, a restored 1920s cinema, offers a programme of films, live music and theatre productions.

For walkers and ramblers there is a wealth of woodland and riverside walks to explore including the Weald Way which runs through the development, while safe cycling is permitted along the Cuckoo Trail, the former route of the dismantled branch railway line.

For days out, nearby Knockhatch Adventure Park is a major tourist attraction with indoor and outdoor fun for all the family in 80 acres of parkland, including an adventure playground, a boating lake, birds of prey, go-carts and a children's farm. The beaches of Eastbourne are just ten miles away.
