Homeseekers looking for a family home in the central belt of Scotland are being urged to consider a new development at Braehead.

The Riverside Point development, in south-west Glasgow, is by Redrow Homes and includes a selection of family-sized terraced, semi-detached and detached houses.

Mary McHutchison, area sales manager, said: "We've had a big demand for the houses […] as most of our competitors at Braehead are currently selling apartments and will not have houses until later stages.

"That said, we've also had good interest in our apartments and have taken reservations on those too. We're delighted with the response."

Riverside Point will eventually comprise 342 new homes in a mix of apartments and houses.

Braehead, which includes an indoor shopping centre, ice skating rink and other leisure facilities, is the largest privately-funded waterside regeneration project in Scotland and cost around £285 million to build.
