Moving in later life can be a daunting experience, which is why McCarthy & Stone is holding a special Moving Solutions event for the over 60s at its Retirement Living development Michael Court in Sale this month.

The event, which is taking place on Wednesday 15th February, will be an opportunity for people interested in moving to get impartial advice from a range of professional advisors.

Visitors will be able to get mortgage advice, find out about part exchanging their existing property and chat to a range of local solicitors and estate agents. House to Home will also be on hand to talk about its decluttering, packing and removals service.

In addition, visitors will be able to speak to McCarthy & Stone's experienced sales consultants about the benefits of Retirement Living and enjoy a tour of the development and its show complex.

Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy & Stone, comments: "Moving house is stressful at any time of life but even more so as you get older. It is important to have as much information as possible at your fingertips to ensure you make the right decision for you.

"Our Moving Solutions event will not only give visitors the opportunity to get impartial advice on all aspects of moving, they will be able to find out about the benefits of Retirement Living at Michael Court."

Michael Court comprises 36 one and two bedroom Retirement Living apartments designed exclusively for people over the age of 60 looking for a more manageable and secure home.

Each property comprises an open plan lounge and dining room, adjoining kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a bathroom.

Special features include 24 hour emergency call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a camera entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.

Residents at Michael Court can enjoy beautifully maintained gardens, socialise and relax in the communal lounge and invite family or friends to stay at the development's guest suite.

Prices start from £179,950. To find out more, please visit the show complex on Oakfield, open daily from 10.30am to 5.00pm
