To celebrate Valentine's Day, McCarthy & Stone is hosting an Open Week from Tuesday 14 February until Saturday 18 February (11am-4pm daily) at six of its Scottish developments to encourage prospective buyers to visit and see for themselves why over 45,000 people have already fallen in love with the McCarthy & Stone lifestyle. New visitors will also receive a free £10 shopping voucher following a visit to the show apartment.

McCarthy & Stone has also created a suite of innovative offers designed to offer buyers everything they need to fall in love with the idea of a move in 2012. Buyers can take advantage of a combination of four years free management charges paid, three years Council Tax paid, and two years electricity bills when they choose to make one of these stunning six developments their true love - The Granary Mews, Dumfries; Moravia Court, Forres; Kittoch Court, East Kilbride; Cumbrae Court, Largs; Strathmore Court, Forfar or Kingsferry Court in Renfrew.

On-site features at these luxurious retirement developments include a laundry-room, a central lounge for recreation and social events, a lift and a hotel-style guest suite for friends and family to visit. Plus for added peace of mind there is a 24 hour personal emergency service, and a main-door TV-security system.

Suzanne McElhiney, marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone Scotland, comments:
"Valentine's Day is the perfect time to find love and we're confident that our Open Week will encourage new buyers to see just how much they could love retirement living. Across the country there are thousands of residents already enjoying their retirement in a McCarthy & Stone property - still enjoying their independence combined with the peace of mind of additional security, low maintenance and companionship."

Features within McCarthy & Stone retirement living developments include 24 hour emergency Careline call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a security entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating. Residents can also enjoy beautiful gardens, socialise and relax in the communal lounge and invite family or friends to stay at each development's guest suite.
