First time buyers who move quickly will save thousands of pounds by buying a new home before the Government ends the stamp duty holiday in March. Taylor Wimpey Oxford has properties available at a variety of its Oxford developments which will remain exempt from stamp duty if purchased before 25th March.
The Government announced that it was removing the payment of stamp duty for two years for first time buyers on properties up to £250,000 in its 2010 budget, but confirmed at the end of the last year that this would not be extended further.
Darren McCormack, regional sales and marketing manager, comments: "There is still time for first time buyers to complete the purchase of a new home before the changes come into effect and therefore save up to £2,500. That's quite a saving at a time when every penny counts. If you are in a position to buy your first home, then speak to one of our experienced consultants at our developments who can guide you through the process and ensure that everything is completed before the deadline."
Great Western Park in Didcot is currently selling a selection of one, two, three, four and five bedroom properties from £124,000, while the developers Kingsmere development in Bicester is offering a selection of three, four, five and six bedroom properties from just £208,000 using the Government backed FirstBuy scheme.
