Jeremy and Sue Cooper are celebrating their move from a house by the sea on the Isle of Wight to a brand new home next to the magnificent Devon coastline.
And the retired couple couldn't be happier with their choice of home at Barratt's sought-after Torre Marine in Torquay.
"We loved living on the island but it posed a few problems for us because we had to keep travelling to and from the mainland whenever we wanted to visit family," said Jeremy. "Coastal living was something we very much wanted to keep but we knew we were better suited to a home on the south coast - rather than on the island. So put our house up for sale."
The couple received an offer on their home and took a holiday in Torbay to begin their search for somewhere new. "I think we looked at about 60 properties during that week," added Jeremy. "And then we visited Torre Marine."
Situated in a prime location in Torquay, the Barratt development offers an enticing selection of one, two, three and four bedroom homes that are perfect for a range of different lifestyles.
"We found Torre Marine right at the end of our search and thought the three bedroom Norbury house design would meet our needs," said Jeremy. "It had quite a number of the features we were looking for. And everyone on site at Barratt has been wonderful in helping us secure it as our new home. They even offered us carpets, curtains and appliances - making everything so much easier for us."
The three bedroom Norbury is an attractive, three storey, townhouse. It features an open-plan living and dining area - with french windows offering a light and airy feel to the space.
The kitchen includes stylish and modern units and there is a handy downstairs cloak room. There are three good-sized bedrooms - with an en suite to the master. And there is a colour-coordinated family bathroom.
"It is wonderful to be living just yards from an outstanding sea view but we also benefit from this excellent location - a stone's throw away from all the amenities we could ask for," said Jeremy. "We are pleased with our choice here at Torre Marine and are looking forward to getting to know this delightful region even more over the coming months."
The development is situated far enough away from the tourist traps to offer peace and quiet but just a 15 minute walk to the beach, marine and town centre.
With a location close to the railway station at Torre, the popular site provides excellent transport links.
Torre Marine is also located near the A385 and A38 - offering easy access to the M5 and the maritime city of Plymouth - as well as the cathedral city of Exeter.
For further information call the Torre Marine sales office, open daily from 11am to 6pm.
