Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey showed its support for a Jubilee-themed event for residents at The Bridge development of houses for sale in Dartford, Kent.
Residents at The Bridge, Taylor Wimpey's sought-after development of new homes for sale in Dartford, celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with good food, great entertainment and fantastic neighbourly spirit.
The new community's fourth annual Big Lunch event at the development of new-build houses for sale in Dartford coincided with this year's Jubilee celebrations and saw neighbours enjoying a free afternoon of fun, food and drink on Sunday 3rd June at the new pocket park in Vimy Drive.
As well as cooking up a feast on the barbecue and perfecting their baking for the Victoria sponge competition, Dartford property residents also brought pots of tea and cakes to share for traditional afternoon tea.
To complete the Jubilee theme, children dressed up in royal costumes for a fancy dress competition, while adults got into the spirit by wearing 1950s outfits or decking themselves out in red, white and blue.
In addition, there was plenty to keep the kids entertained all afternoon long, including a bouncy castle, face painting, crafts and games, while neighbours teamed up for the ever-popular tug-o-war.
The Bridge Big Jubilee Lunch was organised by Bart Woodhouse, Pioneer Minister of the Beacon Church, and Taylor Wimpey was one of the event sponsors.
Jason Stokes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: "We're committed to investing in the communities in which we build our high-quality homes and The Big Lunch is just one example of the way we work with local people and support local projects in Dartford.
"This is the fourth year of the annual Big Lunch, which is going from strength to strength, and we're delighted this year to have played a role in making this fantastic celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at The Bridge possible.
"It's testament to the neighbourly spirit at The Bridge that once again the residents have turned out in force to celebrate their new community and we look forward to being involved again in this exciting event in the future."
