First time buyers in Bodmin are being given one final opportunity to take advantage of the Government backed FirstBuy scheme as funds are now running out.
The scheme was specifically designed to help first time buyers take their first step onto the property ladder and Barratt sales director Caroline Hill said it has proved hugely popular with buyers at Canyke Fields where you can buy with a deposit as low as £5,478.
However all good things come to an end and with no other schemes set to be replace it Caroline said buyers in the region have limited time to take advantage of the FirstBuy benefits.
FirstBuy is designed to help buyers climb onto the housing ladder through loans of up to 20 per cent of the price of the property, jointly funded by Barratt and the Government's Homes and Communities Agency.
Buyers then have to find the remaining 80 per cent of the price themselves made up of the mortgage and deposit.
"There is still time for those looking to jump onto the property ladder to take full advantage of FirstBuy,'' said Caroline. As no similar schemes have been planned to replace FirstBuy, we are keen to help potential buyers benefit from the scheme this summer."
FirstBuy is available on a range of homes at Canyke Fields including two and three bedroom properties with prices from £145,950.
