Brand new house designs from Barratt, the housebuilder of the year, will be available at the developer's Meadows Keep development at Blakes Mead.

The development in Felpham will be showcasing the new range which is part of a brand makeover for the company.

"During the last three years we have invested in build quality, customer service and development layout, said Barratt senior sales manager Zak Long. "The design of the units represents the latest stage in this customer-centred evolution and reaction to the new homes has been tremendous."

Barratt's new range focused on changing lifestyles and how space is used within homes after staging a series of focus groups to find out exactly what customers wanted in a home.

"Customers were clear about what they wanted: traditional looking exteriors combined with modern light interiors; bigger windows with more natural light and more flexibility in how they used the available space," said Zak.

In response the new range includes open-plan floor layouts with the integration of the kitchen and dining areas, doubling the width of floor to ceiling French windows to maximise natural light and blur the boundary between inside and outside space and in the bathrooms there is now a higher specification and bigger showers.

A special focus has also been given on delivering more aesthetically pleasing exteriors by employing brick surrounds, porch canopies and overhanging roofs, all designed to complement the surroundings.

Energy conservation has been another area to be showcased in the new range and Barratt expects the predicted 25 per cent increase in energy efficiency compared to homes built just five years ago to be a strong benefit to buyers.

Offering a stylish selection of two, three and four bedroom homes, Meadows Keep at Blakes Mead is situated within picturesque Felpham - close to the beautiful South Downs National Park and the magnificent West Sussex coast.

The village of Felpham is situated within the West Sussex countryside and offers an outstanding choice of schools and other local amenities. There are also excellent transport links to local towns and cities - with easy access to the nearby A259.

Once home to the writer and poet William Blake, Felpham's countryside setting evidently inspired his famous words: 'England's green and pleasant land'. Making it highly sought-after by those scouring the area for an idyllic place in which to live.

For further information call Meadows Keep at Blakes Mead, daily from 10am to 5pm.
