How much easier would your decision to downsize to a smaller property be if you had a guaranteed buyer and no estate agent's fees?

This is exactly what McCarthy & Stone is offering at its Olympic Court development in Stopsley, which is holding open days on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st July to showcase its range of one and two bedroom Later Living apartments.

The retirement developer is inviting people to visit Olympic Court and take a tour of the beautifully furnished show apartments, find out more about its Part Exchange scheme and enjoy a glass of bubbly in the communal lounge.

Richard Williams, regional managing director, for McCarthy & Stone: "It can be heartbreaking when you fall in love with a property, and then find that it's been snapped up by someone else while you're struggling to sell your current home. Or, worse still, when you've had your offer accepted, and then can't proceed because there's a problem further down the chain.

"Using our Part Exchange scheme is really straight forward, and the whole process can save you time, money and a great deal of worry - leaving you to relax and start planning your new life."

To be eligible for the Part Exchange scheme, McCarthy & Stone will ask a few simple questions about your current home, and then arrange for three valuations. Following this, an independent Part Exchange company will make you an offer to purchase your existing property at an agreed price.

Olympic Court comprises 32 one and two bedroom Later Living apartments. Designed exclusively for people over the age of 60, the development offers a manageable and secure lifestyle that promotes independent living in later life.

Each property comprises an open plan lounge and dining room, adjoining kitchen, one or two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Special features include 24 hour emergency call points, a security entry system and a house manager, who oversees the running of the development.

Residents at Olympic Court will also be able to enjoy maintained landscaped gardens and a communal lounge. Prices start from £149,950.

To find out more about Later Living at Olympic Court, and McCarthy & Stone's Part Exchange scheme, visit the show complex, which is open daily from 10.30am to 5.00pm.
