Barratt is set to unveil a brand new showhome at its Bryn Emrallt development in Llanelli showcasing the latest designs from the region's leading housebuilder.
Due to be unveiled on Saturday July 21, the Heathfield is part of a new range of homes from Barratt.
The four bedroom Heathfield design has an open plan kitchen and dining room with doors to the rear garden together with a family lounge.
On the first floor are three double bedrooms, one with ensuite facilities, a fourth bedroom and the family bathroom.
Barratt sales director Richard Lawson said the Heathfield demonstrates how the leading housebuilder is incorporating changing lifestyles into the design of homes.
"Our research showed that customers were clear about what they wanted: traditional looking exteriors combined with modern light interiors; bigger windows with more natural light and more flexibility in how they used the available space," said Richard.
In response the new range includes open-plan floor layouts with the integration of the kitchen and dining areas, doubling the width of floor to ceiling French windows to maximise natural light and blur the boundary between inside and outside space and in the bathrooms there is now a higher specification and bigger showers.
A special focus has also been given on delivering more aesthetically pleasing exteriors by employing brick surrounds, porch canopies and overhanging roofs, all designed to complement the surroundings.
Energy conservation has been another area to be showcased in the new range and Barratt expects the predicted 25 per cent increase in energy efficiency compared to homes built just five years ago to be a strong benefit to buyers.
"Buyers will be able to see exactly how this translates into our new homes at Bryn Emrallt with the opening of this new showhome,' said Richard.
The development's location, close to picturesque countryside and the magnificent Millennium Coastal Park just adds to the attraction for local buyers.
Just three miles from the attractive town of Llanelli, Bryn Emrallt benefits from excellent commuting links to both Cardiff and Swansea. And the nearby Gower Peninsula offers an expanse of traffic-free cycling.
