Leading home builder Barratt has cemented its foundations with the local community in Kingsway by sponsoring their upcoming Village in Bloom competition.

The gardening competition will see members of the community primping and preening their gardens to be judged for a range of exciting prizes.

And the competition is open to all ages, with separate categories for young children wishing to show off their green fingers.

Steve Brooks is responsible for organising the competition and he is delighted with Barratt's support.

He said, "Barratt have shown amazing positivity in becoming a part of the community and their sponsorship of this event will help contribute to its success."

Barratt is committed to the communities in which it services and Kingsway is home to the popular Barratt development Royal Parade.

Barratt sales director Andrea Pilgrim said, "We are always keen to get involved with local community events and we're thrilled to be able to support Kingsway in Bloom."
