Buyers in the Leighton Buzzard area could save themselves a lot of money if they purchase a home at Redrow's The Wharf development, it has been claimed.

Redrow is offering to pay the five per cent deposit, £500 towards legal bills and one per cent of stamp duty in exchange for a £99 reservation fee.

The developer said the offer is aimed at those who are either struggling to save enough money for a new home or who want to make a speedy move.

"We take care of some of the difficult issues so the buyer has more time freed up to concentrate on other, more enjoyable areas of their move," said sales director Mary Timlin.

She added: "The development has great links to nearby cities, including London, but enjoys a beautiful location next to the canal, which makes it a great place to put your feet up."

Located in the Linslade area of Leighton Buzzard, the development fronts onto the Grand Union Canal and is framed by rolling hills.

The Wharf is made up of two-bedroom apartments and prices start at £172,995.
