Nearly 40 upmarket apartments in Swindon have been launched by Ward Homes, it has emerged.
Following the restoration of historic buildings in the town's Old Quarter, Ward Homes has unveiled 38 apartments.
One of the restored buildings is the Grade II-listed Viletts House, once described by poet and broadcaster Sir John Betjeman as the "one of the most distinguished town houses in Wiltshire".
In a recent feature on Swindon, the Times reported an interview with a resident who had recently bought a home in the town.
"I have found there's a very good social scene here because the estates are full of like-minded people of a similar age," he said.
Swindon is on the M4 and the mainline railway to London and is a short distance from both the Cotswolds and the West Country.
