A leading housebuilder is offering to help homebuyers in Essex who are struggling to get onto the property ladder.
Barratt Home's Dream Start scheme enables first-time buyers to buy a new home for 75 per cent of the purchase price, with the remaining 25 per cent deferred for up to ten years, interest-free.
In addition, Barratt will pay the stamp duty and legal fees up to £1,000.
Dream Start is available on selected apartments at The Hawthorns in Witham, Church View in Basildon and The Square in Rochford, all of which are in Essex.
Adam Lawrence, Barratt regional chairman, said: "This superb offer will make a real difference to people who are struggling to buy their first home.
"The last time Barratt offered the Dream Start scheme we were inundated with requests and I would advise anyone interested to get in touch very quickly."
According to the Land Registry, house prices in Essex have risen by more than eight per cent in the past year and the average price of a home now stands at £204,739.
