There's just one chance left for local buyers to snap up a beautiful new home in Carlisle at a hugely discounted price.

Persimmon Homes Lancashire has been working in conjunction with the Carlisle City Council local authority to provide affordable homes, at 70 per cent of their market value, at the Barley Edge development in Chapel Brow.

Already nine mews homes and town houses have gone to local buyers who meet the criteria and now just one is remaining - a three bedroom mid terrace Hanbury home with en suite and parking.

Field sales manager Allison Scott said: "At Barley Edge we wanted to ensure there were homes for everyone in the area but anyone looking for a lovely new house in a beautiful location through this scheme should hurry as there is only one left."

Subject to approval, people living within Carlisle can buy the Hanbury for just £99,397 instead of its current market value of £141,995.

Allison added: "Barley Edge is an extremely popular development which has been selling really well. With just 49 homes and a mix of 3,4 & 5 bedroom designs, its small scale and countryside views have proved appealing to young professionals, families and first time buyers, and there's easy access to the M6 plus supermarkets, bars and pubs nearby too."

Anyone wanting to know more about the affordable homes scheme is advised to contact the on-site sales advisor as soon as possible.
