Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has rejuvenated a Scout group's headquarters in association with its Lime Tree Gardens development of new homes in Nottingham.
Youngsters from the 1st Gedling Scout Group are all set for the future in their wonderfully revamped headquarters - completed with the expert assistance of Taylor Wimpey Nottingham and their local partnership contractors and suppliers.
A brand new kitchen and a disabled toilet were among the much-needed improvements recently completed by the leading housebuilder at the Scout hut in Willow Lane, Gedling.
The rejuvenated headquarters was officially handed back to the Scouts by Mayor of Gedling Borough, Cllr Sandra Barnes, during a special opening ceremony on Saturday 24th November.
Taylor Wimpey, whose Lime Tree Gardens development of new homes for sale in Nottingham is located nearby, was delighted to help ensure the youngsters had a suitable venue to host all the adventures and activities that they enjoy on a regular basis.
Dominic Harman, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey Nottingham, says: "We were only too happy to come to the aid of the 1st Gedling Scouts in their time of need.
"Their hut desperately required an expert builder's touch - so we arranged for work to be carried out that would greatly improve the facility for the Scouts.
"Now they have a wonderful new kitchen and a disabled toilet, which will both be hugely beneficial to the group over the coming years.
"Rejuvenating the Scout hut was exactly the sort of community project that could put to good use our knowledge and skills. We're overjoyed with the results of our work and we hope the Scouts have an excellent time making the most of their new facilities."
