One of the country's leading housebuilders will be developing on the outskirts of Bradford for the first time, after securing 4.3 acres of land.
Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire plans to build 64 homes on the site in Thornton village, providing much-needed places to live for local people and families.
Speaking of the new development Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire sales director, Simon Whalley, said: "Sunningdale Park is an exciting new development and will provide a range of three and four bedroom properties that we are confident will meet the needs of the Thornton property market."
Located on pastureland in the village of Thornton, just four miles west of Bradford, the Persimmon Homes development will offer prospective customers a 10 year new home warranty and a number of energy efficiency benefits.
Simon, added: "With support available, through various schemes and initiatives such as NewBuy and our part exchange and shared equity packages, we are able to offer potential purchasers the right house to meet their budget.
"We expect the first houses to be released early 2013 however, we are already receiving high volumes of interest and believe this demonstrates a promising start to 2013."
