Greig and Jennifer Dendor had always admired their friend's house at Redrow's Sutton Woods development, in Maidstone.
But little did they know that they would soon be moving into their dream home just around the corner.
Greig explained: "Jen's best friend lives on the development so we became quite familiar with the area through going to visit her. We had always liked the style of Redrow's houses, the way they are modern but traditional at the same time.
"We had decided to move but wanted to stay local as our parents live nearby. Because our friends had such a good experience and we were aware of Redrow's excellent reputation, we felt very confident moving with them.
"We looked at a couple of the house types, and we were sold on the Queensborough straight away. It was the whole layout of the house and the four bedrooms that really appealed to us - and of course living so close to our friends!"
Greig, 30, and Jennifer, 33, purchased the home using Redrow's part exchange incentive.
Using part exchange with Redrow, there are no lengthy chains getting in the way and all your estate agent fees are paid for you. It is the easiest and most straightforward way to move into your dream home as Redrow effectively acts as your cash buyer.
Greig, a logistics manager, added: "Thanks to the part exchange and pricing, we had a very good deal. We are so glad that the staff showed us around that house now, we feel very lucky.
"The staff have been excellent in helping us sort everything out from the day we reserved, and that continued after we moved in. We feel very comfortable here now, it is a lovely house and really feels like home."
Current availability at Sutton Woods is limited due to high demand and there are just three apartments remaining.
A wide choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes are available at Redrow's neighbouring development The Grange, priced from £177,995 to £289,995.
Sutton Woods and The Grange are just a short walk from the picturesque Mote Park and conveniently close to Maidstone town centre. London St Pancras can be reached in as little as 47 minutes from Maidstone West train station, while Maidstone East station offers journey times to London Victoria or Charing Cross of around an hour.
As Kent's county town, Maidstone has a wide variety of shops, schools, sports and leisure centres, bars and restaurants.
The Sutton Woods sales office, off Sutton Road, is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
