First time buyers are being urged to make 2013 the year they stop renting and buy a home of their own in Halifax where around £5,000 could be enough for a deposit.

NewBuy is available on all new Redrow homes at Wheatley Chase enabling customers to buy one of the stylish properties with only a 5% deposit.

Patsy Aicken sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented: "As people start looking forward to the year ahead we're encouraging them to give some thought to their living arrangements, particularly first time buyers. Our message is simple, would-be home owners should resolve to make 2013 the year they buy a home of their own instead of paying someone else's mortgage.

"NewBuy is a great way of making dreams of home ownership a reality as it enables people to purchase a brand new home with a 95% mortgage and 5% deposit. In fact those with savings of £4,498 could be enough to secure a two-bedroom apartment at Wheatley Chase so first time buyers may be able to step onto the property ladder much sooner than they may have anticipated."

Wheatley Chase offers a good choice of properties, ranging from two-bedroom apartments to detached four-bedroom family homes. Current prices start from £89,950 for a two-bedroom Ashdon style apartment.

"Our new homes are ideal for first time buyers as they include many of the essential white goods people are likely to need when setting up home. Kitchens are well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances such as oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer; while bathrooms enjoy sleek modern suites and quality fixtures and fittings," Patsy added.

"Another big plus is that you won't be inheriting someone else's decor and may be able to customise the property to your own tastes by choosing everything from the finish of the kitchen cabinets to the bathroom tiles."

Located in Keighley Road, the homes at Wheatley Chase are only a mile from Halifax town centre. The area boasts good local amenities including a supermarket, post office and doctors' surgery and is well served by schools.

To make 2013 the year you step onto the property ladder visit Wheatley Chase where the sales office is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
