New homes at George Wimpey's first family homes development in Bonnyrigg, near Edinburgh, are now on sale.

Known as The Chesters, the Midlothian development consists of 42 two and three-bedroom family homes, with prices for a two-bedroom semi-detached starting at £195,000.

Among the house style available are two and three-bedroom terraced or semi-detached homes, three-storey townhouses and two-bedroom apartments.

Karen Armstrong, marketing director for George Wimpey, said: "We're expecting The Chesters to be a popular choice for families looking for more space to call their own.

"There's also a good range of primary and secondary education available in Bonnyrigg, making the village a popular choice for families."

She urged potential buyers to act now as there has been an "exceptional level" of interest in the new homes.
