Homes at an ongoing development in Frogmore, Hertfordshire, would be "perfect" for first-time buyers, according to Bellway Homes.

The Old Studios, which consists of 54 new homes - 30 two, three and four-bedroom houses and 24 one and two-bedroom apartments - is now open for off-plan sales.

This development is being built on land that was formerly occupied by Park Street film studios - hence the name.

Bellway sales director Ian Sloan said: "The scheme has been designed to appeal to purchasers across the home-buying spectrum and will be perfect for first-time buyers through to larger, family accommodation."

Stylistically, the development, which is close to St Albans and the M1 and M25 motorways, boasts traditional redbrick, with a "real village" feel, according to Bellway Homes.

Prices start at £179,950 for a one-bedroom apartment. A four-bedroom house costs £464,950.
