Two four-bedroom detached showhomes been unveiled at George Wimpey's Burnside development in the former mining village of Kinglassie.

Aimed primarily at families and young professionals, the development will eventually consist of two and three-bedroom semi-detached houses, as well as three, four and five-bedroom detached homes.

Prices start from £133,500 for a two-bedroom home in the Fife village.

Karen Armstrong, sales director for George Wimpey, said: "These two four-bedroom showhomes show-case the quality and craftsmanship that customers can expect from George Wimpey.

"Each of these two styles offer amazing practicality and are therefore popular with a wide range of customers."

The showhomes and the sales information centre at Burnside are open seven days a week, from 11:30 until 17:30 GMT.

Other George Wimpey developments in Fife include Hollybrae in Kirkcaldy, Redmond Vale in Kelty, The Inches in Burntisland and Masterton Lea in Dunfermline.
