Barratt has handed over the keys to 43 affordable homes in Maidenhead to the local housing authority.

Michael O'Leary, managing director of Barratt (Thames Valley), handed over the keys to the one and two-bedroom apartments at The Glass House development to Housing Solutions.

The first private properties at The Glass House, which comprises 94 contemporary apartments, were released last October, with prices starting at around £225,000.

"We have been very pleased to work with Housing Solutions to provide affordable new homes for local people at this superbly located development," he said.

The Glass House is 25 miles away from central London and rail commuters can journey to London Paddington in around 30 minutes.

The M4 and M25 motorway network is also close by, while Heathrow Airport is around 15 miles away.
