Urban Splash has said its new riverside development, called The Mill, in Longlands in the Manchester district of Stalybridge is helping to regenerate the local community.
By transforming a listed cotton mill into new apartments situated in landscaped gardens by the River Tame, Urban Splash believes it is bringing Longlands back to life
The first wave of homes at The Mill, which will eventually consist of 101 apartments, will be ready sometime this summer, reports Manchester Confidential.
Simon Humphreys, associate director of development at Urban Splash, said: "We've found that many buyers are extremely fond of the Victorian architecture found in our old mill buildings.
"We've also found that others are interested in more modern architecture. With The Mill ... buyers can get the best of both worlds and can choose a home in a building they'll enjoy most."
Other Urban Splash developments in Manchester include the Three Towers on Dalton Street and Albert Mill in Castlefield, which is at the heart of the city's canal network.
