New homes in Southampton are available from £97,496 thanks to Barratt's so-called Dream Start scheme at its Oceana Boulevard development.
This enables
first time buyers to own a new home for just 75 per cent of the price. Moreover, no deposit is necessary and Barratt even pays up to £1,000 of legal fees and the stamp duty.
The remaining 25 per cent is covered by Barratt and is repayable interest free, either on the resale of the property or within ten years.
As such, a one-bedroom apartment at Oceana Boulevard is available from £97,496 at current prices.
Mark Docherty, sales director at Barratt, said: "Market evidence continues to highlight the affordability difficulties faced by
first time buyers and key workers."
He went on to say that Barratt's Dream Start scheme is tailored exclusively to help those people get on the property ladder.
The development, which is minutes from the city centre and the waterfront, is adjacent to Dockgate 4 and overlooks Queens Park.
