Home buyers in the south of England are abandoning the hustle and bustle of London in favour of new homes in quiet suburbs and coastal towns.
This is according to MoveMe.com, which says that Tunbridge Wells is now the most in-demand area for movers, followed by Guildford and Redhill.
The coastal towns of Plymouth and Bournemouth fill out the top five. Seaside areas are likely to increase in popularity and price over the coming years.
At the other end of the scale, the five least popular areas are all in London, with the north of the city ranking worst.
Homeowners are being driven out of London by rising living costs, a high crime rate and a lack of decent housing, says MoveMe.com co-founder Keith McNeilly.
"An increasing number of London residents are now leaving the capital for more family orientated commuter towns," he added.
Recent figures from the estate agent Haart show that the average price of a London property was £248,155 in July.
