Potential buyers who consider a garden to be a crucial aspect of their property could be interested in a development of new homes in Torquay.

The Torre Marine development, which is located close to Torquay town centre and offers good road links to Plymouth, Newton Abbot and Exeter, currently has four townhouses available, all of which feature landscaped gardens.

Sales manager for builder Barratt Homes Mary Daymond described the gardens as "simply out of this world".

Each garden was designed by contestants in ITV Westcountry's Garden Designer of the Year competition, with all spaces including features such as a compost area, children's play zone and an area for alfresco eating.

"Everything in the fully landscaped gardens [is] included in the price - as well as free carpets and curtains," added Ms Daymond.

Prices for the four-bedroom properties start at £249,950 and according to Barratts include a £25,000 discount for a "limited period".

Barratts also has a number of properties targeted at first-time buyers available in Wiltshire. The Piazza development in Chippenham features two-bedroom apartments with a starting price of £139,995.ADNFCR-1100-ID-18792287-ADNFCR
