Those interested in overseas property investment may now have a further reason to look at Tenerife, as the island has announced the opening of a new water park.

Siam Park, the largest such attraction of its kind in Europe, is a Thai-themed attraction featuring a variety of rides.

The Tower of Power is one of these, featuring a near vertical drop followed by a descent past a tank of alligators.

Other rides include the Mekong Rapids and the Dragon.

Such an attraction may help bring in more families to the island, leading to a potential increase in demand for buy-to-let property in the island.

Earlier this week Tenerife was revealed to be the most popular location in Spain for those keen on property investment in the country.

Research by business website Global Edge - found that in July this year the island accounted for 13,000 of the 60,000 searches for Spanish property via the Google search engine.
